Play ‘N Go Releases New Fruit Slot Mystery Joker 6000

mystery joker 6000Ever the one to surprise us, Mystery Joker 6000 is the new slot released by Play ‘N Go. This latest game is a fruit slot title that shows a serious upgrade with a wide range of interactive features for players to partake in.

With 5 paylines and 3 reels, you can expect it to bring quite a retro feel as it makes use of a classic slot format. Does this signify a new trend for 2018? Let’s take a look at the slot’s features and find out.

Main Features

mystery joker 6000The primary feature of Mystery Joker 6000 has to be (quite obviously) the fruit slot design of it. Evoking the traditional ‘classic’ 3 reels instead of the usual, more contemporary five-reel slots, it encapsulates perfectly what old slots used to look like as well as how they used to operate.

When a Joker symbol lands on reel 1 and reel 2, the third reel will get a chance to re-spin. The other two reels, of course, will be held in place if a third appears, it will trigger the mystery wheel bonus round.

With this in mind, players have the opportunity to win up to 6,000x their original stake with Mystery Joker 6000. Now we know where the title comes from… It doesn’t stop there, though. Another great feature is the Super Meter Mode. Transfer your winnings from the main game into this high-intensity round  where you can easily multiply your bets and win much larger payouts.

Most interestingly of all is the 100% of all is the RTP which stands at a staggering 100%. This means that you can expect all your money back in the long term as opposed to the house carrying an edge like most slots. It’s a good way for players to make wins a lot but what does this mean in the larger scheme of things?

A New Slot Trend?

2018

Mystery Joker 6000 could signify a shift in video slot conventions in 2018. Not just through its classic slot aesthetic but also through its 100% RTP. We could very well see a lot more classic-inspired video slots emerging from the woodwork with a cool retro aesthetic and a lean on nostalgic value.

And why not? Play ‘N Go have enough clout to do so. Then again, it might amount to very little. Casinos do have to make money so they won’t stock much they think will give too much to the players.

The CEO of Play’ N Go, John Tornqvist, is nevertheless excited about the nostalgic appeal of traditional fruit slot games. Many players prefer fruit slot games as it reminds them of how casinos ‘used to be’, so the inclusion of the Super Meter Mode will entice fans from all over. This game’s release is the ultimate achievement for a year of multiple awards for Play’N Go. The company has released, in total, 60 new games, and it will continue to build on this throughout 2018.

3 Ways Pay by Phone Casinos Will Change in 2018

2017 and 2018 With ClockAs the end of the year approaches, it gives us time to reflect on the fantastic year pay by phone users have experienced. Not only did 2017 bring about more pay by phone casinos than ever before, but various new mobile payment services came to market and players enjoyed hundreds of brand new slots.

However, things can only get better and we can’t help but wonder what the New Year may bring for our favourite depositing method. Will 2018 be as good as 2017 for phone billing users, or could it be the year that pay by phone services go out of fashion? We think it’s more than likely to be the former, as the method is as popular as ever among casino players, yet that doesn’t mean there isn’t still room for progress. In this article we’re looking at all the ways in which pay by phone casinos may change for the better in 2018.

There’ll Be Even More Pay By Phone Casinos To Play At

Online Casino ChoicesAs mentioned above, 2017 saw hundreds of brand new pay by phone casinos open their figurative doors and to much success we might add! However, not only have new phone billing casinos been popping up left right and centre, but we’ve also found that more and more existing casinos are adopting pay by phone depositing methods such as Boku.

In 2018, we can only expect there’ll be even more choice for pay by phone bill users and this is something we’re very excited for. White label operators such as Nektan and ProgressPlay have been fans of the method for years, and with new sites coming from these kinds of brands on a monthly basis, we’re sure that the New Year will bring plenty new gaming locations.

That being said, this year we have been a little disappointed by the fact that so many pay by phone casinos are carbon copies of other sites. This, of course, is often due to the fact that they’re ran by the same operator but still – in 2018 we’d like a little more originality please!

Pay By Phone Services Will Have To Compete With New Methods

Various Depositing Methods LogosIn the past year, casino players have been inundated with new-fangled mobile depositing methods. From Zimpler to Bitcoin, there’s always something new coming to market that promises to be more convenient, faster, or more secure than the last. This, unfortunately, can often leave pay by phone services such as Boku looking a little out of date.

The problem is that when Boku was created, they created a perfectly good method that hasn’t actually needed updating since. They could, of course, add new functionalities but this would only serve to complicate a straightforward and easy to use method of payment.

That being said, in 2018 pay by phone casinos will have to compete with these new methods. They could choose to adopt these new innovative mobile depositing services as additional payment options, but what’s more likely is that the casinos will simply offer more incentives to join them rather than, say, a Bitcoin focused site. This is very good news for pay by phone casino users as it means they’ll be treated to bigger and better games rosters and promotions, as their casinos try to make themselves stand out from the crowd.

Pay by Phone Casinos Will Become Even More Mobile Friendly

Mobile Casino GraphicOne of the best things about pay by phone casinos is that, most of the time, they’re very mobile compatible. As phone billing offers players the ability to deposit straight from their handset, it makes perfect sense that the majority of pay by phone users also choose to spin their favourite slots from their handset too. This has meant that pay by phone casinos have had to keep up with the latest mobile software, and make sure their sites run flawlessly across all devices.

In 2018, however, pay by phone casinos will have to put even more effort into being fully mobile friendly. This is because more and more online gamers are choosing to play via their mobile phone, and so to make sure they retain their players, casinos must excel when it comes to their mobile phone offerings. It was once the case that whilst an online casino would offer hundreds of slot titles on their desktop site, they would offer a only a handful if you accessed the casino through a mobile browser. These days, however, most casinos which boast a mobile app make sure that their titles can be played across all devices and we’re sure this commitment to mobile gaming will only improve in the New Year.

First Look at NetEnt’s New Universal Monsters: The Phantom’s Curse Slot

The Phantom's Curse by NetEntEarlier in the year, NetEnt released footage of their Phantom of the Opera slot. However the game then never came to fruition and instead, it was wiped from their schedule and we were gifted the fantastic Emojiplanet in it’s place. This is because the brand have since been embroiled in a copyright battle with Microgaming, who released their Phantom of the Opera slot in November.

Fast forward to now, and NetEnt have added a new, similar sounding title to their 2018 Q1 roadmap. The Phantom’s Curse will be the software developer’s first game of the new year, going live on the 24th of January, and we’ve just got our hands on a sneek peak. So, is it the same game as we saw back in summer, or have NetEnt managed to put a new spin on it in the six months it’s been waiting for release?

What Can We Expect?

The short answer to the question asked above is yes, it’s the exact same game we saw back in July. However, this doesn’t make it any less impressive and we’re actually happy that this title will finally get to see the light of day, as it looks to be beautifully designed and full of great features.

The Phantom’s Curse is a 5 reel, 40 payline slot and it will be available across all devices, including mobile, desktop and table. It’s playable from as little as 20p a spin, up to £200, and it’s based around the French novel, The Phantom of the Opera. It will also stand as the fifth installment in NetEnt’s Universal Monsters series, which includes successful slots such as The Invisible Man, Dracula, and Creature from the Black Lagoon.

NetEnt Phantom's Curse ScreenshotThe Phantom’s Curse is set inside an opera hall, and the reels hang against the view from the stage. Symbols on the reels include hearts, clubs, spades and diamonds, as well as items which are synonymous with the classic story such as a hand mirror, roses, rings and Christine – the subject of the Phantom’s affections.

The Phantom himself is the game’s highest paying symbol, giving you 10x your wager for a five of a kind combination, and the slot also boasts a wild symbol which is again represented by the Phantom, but this time he is wearing his famous mask. The wild will substitute for all other symbols, apart from the scatters.

The Phantom’s Curse Slot Features

The Phantom's Curse Pick Me Bonus The Phantom’s Curse has three different bonus features, each of which are triggered by different scatter symbols. The first is activated when either a Stacked Phantom symbol lands on reel 1 or a Stacked Christine symbol lands fully on reel 1. You’ll then be transported to a click-me bonus screen, where you must select a rose to receive a cash reward.

After this, you’ll then be presented with stage 2 of the mini-game, in which you must select a mirror to give you a multiplier. This is then applied to your winnings from the first stage, and allows you to win up to 36x your original stake.

The second feature is the Masked Phantom Re-spin round, which is triggered when a Stacked Phantom symbol appears on reel 1 and a Stacked Mask symbol appears on reel 5. The stacked symbols which triggered the feature will then all transform into wild symbols, and remain sticky for one free re-spin.

The third and final feature is an extra spins round and this is activated when the scatter symbol, which is represented by a chandelier, appears on reels 1, 3 and 5. You’ll then be rewarded with extra spins which will continue until the chandelier which hangs to the left of the reels is cut down. If a Phantom symbol lands on a particular reel during the round, a section of the rope which supports the chandelier is cut, and when all five ropes are cut, the chandelier will fall and the feature will end.

Play The Phantom’s Curse At Casumo Mobile Casino

Casumo Casino Logo

The Phantom’s Curse will launch on January 24th, and will be available at all good NetEnt casinos. For this, we’d highly recommend visiting Casumo, as not only do they accept Boku payments, but they also boast a extensive collection of NetEnt slots which is regularly updated. This means that Casumo players have access to the newest NetEnt slots the minute they launch.

Casumo also offers all new players a mega welcome bonus, worth up to £1,200, and 200 extra spins! Moreover, on arrival, you’ll also start your very own ‘Casumo Adventure’ which allows you to pick up rewards and prizes as you play. All in all, this makes Casumo one of the very best places to play The Phantom’s Curse when it’s released.

Mr Green Is The Most Socially Responsible Bookmaker In 2017

sbc awards 2017 mr greenDuring the SBC Awards 2017 in London last week, Mr Green was selected as the Socially Responsible Bookmaker of the Year 2017. The title could be considered as one of the most important in the industry. Social responsibility has always been a primary concern for the official regulators and customers alike. By getting the title, Mr Green has proven that they’re a truly modern and socially aware company. They care about their players in more ways than just by offering mind-blowing bonuses.

Mr Green Has To Thank The Green Gaming Predictive Tool

green gaming predictive toolIt is no secret that one particular reason led the organizers to award the title to Mr Green. It’s their brilliant and advanced Green Gaming Predictive Tool, dedicated to helping high-risk gamblers. The tool was launched for Mr Green casino players in September of 2017. After its successful reception, the company also has plans to launch it for its sportsbook players in 2018.

Green Gaming Predictive Tool is the result of over 12 months of arduous work. Luckily, it has paid off as Mr Green built the reputation of high social awareness. What’s special about this tool is that it gives the players an ability to look at and analyse their own risk behaviour. Such a tool has never been used by online gambling operators before.

Not only does the tool help the players themselves, it’s also an invaluable resource for the operator. Using the data that this product provides, Mr Green is now able to detect when a healthy gambler has started risky behaviour. This way, the casino can take precaution and reach out to potential problem gamblers before any harm is done.

If the company detects that a certain player shows signs of irresponsible gambling behaviour, they will take action immediately. They may ask the player’s permission to change their gambling limits, for example. They may also ask if the risky player would like to take a break from gambling altogether. Their usual communication may also be altered by refraining from sending such players special offers and promotional adverts.

Socially Responsible Bookmaker Of The Year 2017

mr green logoIt was due to the positive reception of Green Gaming Predictive Tool that Mr Green got the valuable title. The tool was received really well by the casino players. The company wasn’t alone in developing such a solution, however.

Sustainable Interaction and Sebastian Gassner helped Mr Green throughout the months of development. Sustainable Interaction is a Swedish company from Lund that develops digital products and tools in the fields of responsible gambling and psychosocial health. Similarly, Sebastian Gassner is a developer that focuses on responsible gaming issues and he’s an expert in his field, too.

With the dedicated team and professional partners, Mr Green has what it takes to minimise the gambling-related harm. Green Gaming Predictive Tool is just a single project in Mr Green’s strategy. Another step that the company has undertaken is an additional training and education of its staff. Every employee and staff member of the most socially responsible casino will now provide better support for risky gamblers, too.

When asked about the new title, Mr Green’s CEO said that it’s an important milestone in the Green Gaming plan. Being socially responsible has been the company’s goal from the start and their success shows how important that is. Jesper Kärrbrink was also happy about the product’s success and that it is efficient, so Mr Green is proud to be the Socially Responsible Bookmaker of the Year 2017.

4 Phone Bill Depositing Facts You STILL Don’t Know!

Man Surprised by Large Phone BillWe keep banging on about phone bill depositing (which, to be honest, is pretty much the reason this blog exists in the first place), and we’re pretty sure that by now, all our readers should be pretty up on all things phone billing. However, there’s still a number of lesser known facts about phone billing that we reckon our readers still might not have committed to heart, which is why in today’s post, we’re going to introduce you to them.

From using a different phone to make the deposit to the lack of hidden charges, we’re going to blow your mind with some of the most underappreciated phone billing facts we can think of!

You Can Use a Different Phone

Phone Bill DepositsWhenever we’re talking about phone bill deposits, we’re aware of the fact we make it sound like you have to use the phone you’re playing on to make the deposit. In fact, this couldn’t be further from the truth. As long as it has either credit, or access to a monthly phone bill, it doesn’t matter which phone you deposit on. This means if you have two handsets, or you’re playing on a tablet or computer, you’re able to deposit from whichever handset you desire.

The fact is, the casino has no idea what phone is being used to make the payment, and the payment service doesn’t make special considerations for where you’re depositing. You could even use a BT landline to make your phone bill deposit, and it would still work in pretty much the same way!

You Don’t Need a Monthly Bill

When you hear the words ‘phone bill deposit’, it’s easy to fall into the trap of believing that it’s only those who have a phone contract an actually pay a phone bill at the end of the month who are able to make phone bill deposits. While it is true that if you have a pay monthly contract, you’re able to make a deposit and pay for it with your bill at the end of the month, this doesn’t mean that pay as you go users are excluded.

If you have a pay as you go SIM, you’re still able to make phone bill deposits, you just need to make sure that you have credit on your phone account already, before you make the payment. Other than this, the entire process of making you payment is just the same as if you had a pay monthly bill.

Phone Billing Was Created by Phone Companies

Network ProvidersWhile most phone bill depositing players will be more familiar with the payment intermediaries (like Boku and Payforit, it isn’t these companies which made phone billing a reality. It was in fact the mobile phone network providers who came up with the idea some time ago, and it is they who eventually set up the first payment intermediaries.

This all means that, while some depositors avoid phone billing payments because they fear they’re dodgy or unofficial, they’re actually one of the most straightforwardly official payment methods you could use!

There are No Hidden Charges – EVER

Ok, we’ll admit it, this is less a fact, and more an explosion of misconceptions, but the truth is, all too many people really believe that phone bill depositing carries with it hidden charges, when this simply isn’t the case. When you make a phone bill deposit, every penny that you spend on the deposit will go straight into your casino account, and you’ll be charged by your phone network provider the exact amount of your deposit.

There’s no accounts you need to pay for, there’s no service charge, and there’s no percentage going to anyone for the privilege of using the depositing service.

UKGC Data Shows Online Gambling Still Economically Dominant

uk gambling commission logoIn a turn of events which will surprise basically no one who works in or interacts with the online gambling industry, the sector has been named once again as the most popular of all gambling types in the UK. The news (if you can call it that) comes courtesy of the UK Gambling Commission, which this week released new figures documenting the profitability of different sectors in the UK gambling industry. Not only has online gambling once again come out on top, it has increased its lead against other sectors.

The Figures

The report covers the 12 months between April 2016 and March 2017 inclusive. Looking at the gross gambling yield (GGY) – or the total amount gambling companies made in profit before deductions like loan repayments, investor dividend payments and taxation – the online gambling industry was shown to have grown by 10.1% over the year previous, and had climbed all the way up to £4.68 billion.

When you compare this to the gambling industry as a whole – which grew by just 1.8% over the year, and is now worth a total of £13.7 billion – that means that online gambling has swallowed up an even bigger percentage of the overall yield, and now accounts for 34% of all gambling revenue in the UK (up 1.5%).

Breaking down the online GGY even further will also fail to yield many surprises. Online and mobile casino products account for 56% of the yield, while betting, bingo, exchange betting and pool betting between them make up the other 44%. The closest other sector is sports betting, which manages to make up 37% of the yield itself.

How Players Benefit

Woman On Laptop CheeringIt might be a little difficult to understand why companies being profitable would necessarily be a good thing for casino players, but believe us when we tell you that these figures benefit everyone involved with the industry, even the players. On a very basic level, players are lucky to be able to cash in on the bigger prizes and more generous bonuses which are sure to come along with this news.

However, you also can’t overlook how much we’ll all reap the benefits of the increased we’ll see off the back of these higher profits. Not only are companies with bigger profits in a better position to plough more cash into the research and development of new products, they’re also incentivised to do so owing to the high number of players they’re clearly out to satisfy.

Not All Good News

While hearing that the online gambling industry makes up the biggest slice of the pie in terms of profitability is good news for everyone, there’s another way in which online gambling is leading the polls, and it’s certainly not a positive. Under the ‘Social Responsibility’ category of the research, online gambling accounted for 96% of self-exclusions of gamblers, on top of 78% of the total self-exclusion breaches.

The UKGC recognises that, as individual players have to bar themselves for lots of sites, the figures may be skewed to make online gambling look worse than it is, but we as an industry cannot afford to ignore these warning signs. We must continue efforts to protect vulnerable players.

Are Mobile Deposits Really As Good As They Say?

pay by phone ewThere’s no question that mobile deposits can be extremely useful. They are quick, easy and make for a convenient fix when you’re in a bit of a financial pickle this month. It’s the most streamlined way of paying your casino wagers with no fuss or complications involved whatsoever.

That being said, do people give mobile deposits more credit than it deserves? While it is difficult not to become biased, it’s still important to hold a more objective viewpoint on movements in the industry. Today, we’ll be examining whether making mobile deposits is really worth its salt.

Why Mobile Deposits Are A Good Thing

gowin mobile phone depositTo make things one hundred percent clear, and to save you the bother of having to read a dozen other articles, we’re going to tell you why mobile deposits are a good thing ( at least, in our opinion). The whole thing operates on a SMS-payment system, making it ultra-convenient to people who are in a bit of a hurry and haven’t got the time to set up a new e-wallet account.

It’s also completely accessible. If you have a mobile phone, you could pay mobile deposits. You don’t even necessarily have to have a bank account in order to use it.  Literally, all it involves is texting a certain amount, receiving a confirmation code in response then using said confirmation code to clarify that amount.

We surely don’t need to tell you that this can be advantageous for a whole number of reasons. Being so accessible that they allow even the most badly organised person’s life easier then is definitely a massive benefit. This makes it easy to understand why, then, that mobile deposits are praised as highly as they are. With extra costs, either, it sounds way too good to be true!

What Are The Drawbacks?

Boku Deposit LimitsAnd yeah, it most certainly is. No system is perfect and mobile deposits, as good as they are, certainly have some drawbacks. For one thing, while it can some a whole lot of freedom, they can also be incredibly limiting. This is due to the fact that mobile deposits have one huge obvious flaw that many players tend to overlook: that they’re just a one-way payment system. You cannot use your mobile to make withdrawals, only deposits.

This at first doesn’t sound like such a bad thing, but when you consider that you will have to use a completely different kind of service just to take your money out of your wagering account then that can be a bit of a problem. That doesn’t make mobile deposits anywhere near as accessible as they’re made out to be.

And then, there’s the £30 daily limit mobile networks put on mobile deposits. While we think that sending £30 a day on gambling is quite a lot of money (everyday, that would close to £1,000 a month!) but for high-rollers out there, this isn’t the option for you.

So, Is It Overrated?

conclusionWhile we wouldn’t go as far to say mobile deposits are overrated, we do think that people exaggerate the convenience of it sometimes. If it were truly convenient, it would work both ways and not just be a way of depositing money while not being able to withdraw.

All in all, it’s unreasonable to expect anything to exist without flaws but at the same time we do feel as though some of these flaws are glossed over a little bit when it comes to these discussions. Then again, they’re not seriously damaging flaws so we can probably forgive a little bit of gilding the lily.

Microgaming’s Highlander Slot Will Launch On December 6th

Highlander Microgaming LogoThe 80’s are having a little bit of a moment. Not only has Stranger Things capitivated audiences worldwide this year, but the online gaming world seems to be getting involved too. Highlander will be the next slot to be released by software developers Microgaming and, given that it’s based around the 1986 cult film, it looks to be a celebration of everything retro.

The game comes complete with rock music, thunderstorms and characters from the movie, as well as a plethora of bonus features and some pretty impressive graphics. Highlander will go live on December 6th at all good Microgaming casinos, but if you can’t wait until then read on for a sneak peek at all the action.

What Can We Expect?

Highlander is a 5 reel, 243 ways to win slot and it will be available across all devices, including mobile, desktop and table. It’s playable from as little as 40p a spin, up to £30 and is based around the 1980’s movie of the same name. This means that not only does it complete Microgaming’s branded offerings for 2017, but it’s also packed full of graphics taken from the film itself.

The slot is set against the Scottish Highlands as the name may suggest, with a thunderstorm raging in the background. Symbols on the reels include four characters from the original film: Heather MacLeod, Brenda Wyatt, Kurgan and two Connor MacLeod symbols, as well as the traditional 10 to Ace playing card values. The Highlander movie logo is also the wild symbol and this will replace for all other symbols except for the scatter. All in all, it’s a dark and intense slot with a soundtrack to match, so if you prefer cutesy characters you may want to avoid it.

The Highlander Slot Features

That being said, if you did chose to not play Highlander based around it’s theme, you’d be missing out on a wealth of bonus features. The first of them is activated when you get two scatters and these will turn wild in the hopes of creating a winning combination for you.

Secondly, the game includes an extra spins round, which is triggered when three or more scatters appear anywhere on the reels. You’ll receive 10 extra spins and the game’s setting will change to show you the New York skyline. In the extra spins round, you’ll also benefit from ‘quickening wilds,’ which means that any symbol can be turned wild at any time when struck by lightening. Furthermore, the more times the lightening strikes, the greater number of wilds you will receive, thus making for a highly turbulent and lucrative bonus round.

Although Highlander has a pretty niche theme, we’re sure that the high-quality graphics and rewarding bonus rounds will allow this slot to appeal to the masses. In addition, the medium volatility of the game makes it perfect for all types of players and offers you a maximum win of 3,416 times your stake on every spin.
