Wizard Slots Casino Review — Not So Magical On Close Inspection

Wizad Slots LogoWizard Slots only launched last month, but it’s already garnered attention due to it’s generous bonuses and unique theme. The casino is brought to us by Jumpman Gaming, who are generally renowned for their many bingo sites. In fact, they are one of the biggest bingo operators around. Don’t let this put you off however, as Jumpman have launched many successful slots sites too.

On first impressions, the site looks stunning. It boasts a purple design, with fonts that wouldn’t look out of place in a Harry Potter film. The attention to detail is impressive too, your cursor will even magically transform into a magic wand when you move around the page!

However, whilst we love an aesthetically appealing casino as much as the next guy, a decent casino should also deliver on three things: games, promotions and banking options. So, does Wizard Slots meet our standards, or is it all style and no substance?

Wizard Slots on LaptopWizard Slots offers it’s players a small, yet diverse, collection of games. There are 224 games available at the site, and these are brought to us by some of the biggest software developers around.  Players can choose between video slots, progressive jackpots and classic table games, including roulette and blackjack. Furthermore, the majority of these games are available across all devices, which is great news for mobile gamers.

Whilst Wizard Slots doesn’t offer a particularly extensive roster, they have managed to pack it full of name brands. Players can enjoy titles from the likes of NetEnt, NextGen, Elk Studios and Eyecon. This means that you spin some of the most popular slots ever, such as Starburst, Foxin’ Wins and Fluffy Favourites. Moreover, although Wizard Slots is a new site, it’s nice to see that they already have some brand new releases, which means that they’re committed to regularly updating their games collection.

Wizard Slots is primarily a site for slots players, and whilst there’s nothing wrong with that, if you’re more of a table game fanatic then you’d probably want to avoid this casino. The site does offer a few variants of roulette and blackjack, as well as a Deuces Wild game, but it’s likely that these are only there because they were part of a games package, instead of the casino actively thinking about their table game players.

Bonuses And Promotions

Welcome Bonuses

Wizard Slots Bonus Banner

Wizard Slots offers a three part welcome package, worth up to £600. This kicks off with a 100% deposit match bonus, up to £200, plus 20 extra spins on Starburst. You can pick up the bonus when you deposit £10 or more and it’s worth noting that, unlike some casinos, mobile billing users are eligible to claim it too.

Your second and third deposits at Wizard Slots will be rewarded with the exact same offer as your first: a 100% match bonus, up to £200, plus 20 extra spins on Starburst. This means that all of your first three deposits will be instantly doubled, and there’s 60 extra spins up for grabs in total.

Whilst the welcome package sounds great, it’s very important to consider the sites high wagering requirements. To withdraw any winnings from your bonus funds, you must wager 65x your initial deposit plus the bonus amount! or example, if you deposit £10 and therefore receive a £10 bonus, this will result in a wagering requirement of £10 + £10 x 65, which equals a whopping £1,300! To be honest, with wagering requirements this high, it’s wiser to skip picking up the bonus all together.

Wizard Slots Spinathon PromotionIn addition to offering a welcome package, the site also regularly rewards players with recurring promotions. There are four currently active promotions, available to all players, which are as follows:

  • Midnight Madness – When the clocks turn Midnight on a Monday night, (0:01 every Tuesday), the first 250 players to make a deposit will receive 20 extra spins on a choice of selected slot games. There’s no promo code required to claim this prize, but you must deposit £10 or more.
  • Happy Hour – Every Wednesday at Wizard Slots players can pick up 10 extra spins, simply for logging in! The happy hour period is actually four hours, and runs between 3pm and 7pm. To pick up the extra spins you need to be a funded player and each week a different slot will be featured.
  • Super Saturday –  Every Saturday, players are given the chance to earn 20 extra spins which can be used the following Sunday. Make three or more deposits of £10 during the Saturday, and the spins will be credited to your account the next day.
  • Spinathon –  At Wizard Slots there’s £1,000 to be won every week, in their Spinathon event. Throughout the week, players can earn points as they play, and the top 25 players at the end of the week will be rewarded with a share of the jackpot. The top prize of the Spinathon is £200, whilst second and third place will take home £150 and £125 respectively.

Banking at Wizard Slots is an easy affair, however there’s not currently many depositing methods available. Players can choose to fund their account via Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Debit, PayPal, Paysafecard or Pay by Mobile. Of course, as phone billing is our favourite method, this is great news for us, yet we do think that by not providing a decent e-wallet service, like Neteller or Skrill, Wizard Slots may be alienating a huge amount of players. The minimum deposit at the site is set at £10, and you can fund your account with up to £5,000 per day.

The site imposes a minimum withdrawal limit of £30, and  players can make up to two withdrawals per day, which must not exceed a combined total of £1,000. You can withdraw via credit/debit card or Paypal, and all withdrawal requests will be subject to a 48 hour processing period.

Who Should Play At Wizard Slots Casino?

To be honest with you, we’re not sure if anyone should. We started writing this review with a lot of hope for a site so beautifully designed, but as we explored the casino more we liked it less and less. Sure, they do feature some great slots, and plenty of chances to pick up extra spins, but most games can be found elsewhere and there are more rewarding bonuses around that aren’t tied to such high wagering requirements!

Furthermore, whilst we love a site that offers mobile billing, Wizard Slots’ banking options are still disappointing. We think it’s a shame that the site fails to live up to expectations and we do really hope that as it’s a new casino these are simply teething issues that will be straightened out in the future. That being said, for now we’d recommend that you play somewhere else!
